Celebrating Christmas Through Music, Performance and Creativity

At our school, Christmas is a time for celebration, creativity, and bringing our community together through a wonderful programme of festive performances. Each year group has the opportunity to take part in a special Christmas concert or production, creating lasting memories for both children and their families.

Nursery Celebration Concert

Our youngest performers begin their Christmas journey with a joyful celebration concert in the school hall. Nursery children delight parents and carers with a selection of festive songs, building confidence as they perform in front of an audience and sharing the excitement of the season.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 alternate between two much-loved Christmas traditions.

One year, they perform a concert-style Carol Service, filling the hall with festive songs and Christmas spirit. The following year, they take to the stage in a fun and engaging Nativity production, bringing the Christmas story to life through acting, singing and storytelling.

This alternating programme ensures that every child experiences both the joy of performing in a concert and the excitement of taking part in a dramatic production during their time in the paddlers and swimmers.

Years 3, 4 and 5

As pupils move into Upper swimmers and divers, they continue to develop their performance skills through a varied programme of Christmas events.

Years 3 to 5 alternate between presenting a traditional Carol Service at our local church and performing a Nativity production on alternate years. These opportunities allow children to grow in confidence while showcasing their musical, dramatic and creative talents.

By Year 5, pupils may even have the opportunity to write and develop parts of their own scripts, encouraging imagination, collaboration and ownership of their performances.

A Special Farewell for Year 6

For our Year 6 pupils, Christmas holds particular significance as they celebrate their final festive season in junior school.

To mark this special milestone, Year 6 create and perform a unique Christmas production that reflects their personalities, talents and memories of school life. This memorable performance serves as both a celebration of their journey and a fitting farewell before they move on to the next stage of their education.

Creating Memories That Last

Our Christmas concerts and productions are about much more than performance. They help children develop confidence, teamwork, communication skills and creativity, while bringing families and the wider community together in celebration.

From Nursery's first festive songs to Year 6's final Christmas showcase, every performance is a treasured part of school life and a highlight of the academic year.
